The Daily Telegraph has voted Arthur Boruc the best goalkeeper in Celtic’s recent history. What is more, the Polish player and former Legia Warsaw goalkeeper has been chosen as the best transfer by Celtic manage Gordon Strachan. Boruc joined Celtic Glasgow for 650,000 pounds in 2005 and immediately won the fan’s trust. ‘King Arthur’ has played 117 matches for “The Bhoys” and won the Scottish championship twice. The likelihood of winning the championship for a third time this season is low. Last Saturday the Celtic Park team lost to arch-rivals, Glasgow Rangers 1:0 and have a 6-point deficit to Rangers. However, the situation at Celtic has not influenced general opinion about the Polish goalkeeper. The Daily Telegraph reported that Boruc is Strachan’s best transfer and gave the Pole 9 out of 10. Scott McDonald, who is a Celtic forward got 8 points. Maciej Żurawki, who joined Greek side Larrisa a few months ago got 6 points and took third place. Shunsuke Nakamura, considered to be Celtic’s biggest star got 5 points.
