Will Tusk Buy from Chavez?

It is still unknown whether the Polish Government will do business with Hugo Chavez, accused of supporting the terrorists and hated by half the world. According to TVP Info, it is very probable. In July, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to send a special delegation to Venezuela with the purpose of checking the possibility of buying oil and gas from this country.

According to TVP Info, Donald Tusk’s last visit to South America had nothing in common with the idea of buying energy resources from Venezula. As one of the Tusk’s closest aides reveals, the Prime Minister did not mention this matter during his meeting with Chavez. “They just greeted and shook their hands, which in turn was maliciously shown by all the Polish media. Later Chavez said, ‘I don’t speak English’, and that is how it ended”.

However, a few days after the meeting, Chavez personally spoke with the Polish ambassador in Venezuela. The conversation, indeed, mainly concerned business cooperation including the issue of energy resources. The reaction was instant. This is why the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is going to send a delegation to the country which is governed by Hugo Chavez. This information was confirmed by Piotr Paszkowski, the Ministry spokesman.
