Who is going to be the new Formula One world champion? Foreign journalists think that the front-runner is Polish driver Robert Kubica. Media around the world specializing in Formula 1 journalism are voicing the same opinion: the moment the Polish driver became the leader of Grand Prix his only goal is to win the 2008 world championship. “Kubica becomes the most likely candidate for the title,” writes The Guardian. “One year after Robert Kubica was nearly killed in a car crash he clinched a spectacular victory in the Grand Prix of Canada. The Polish driver showed his superb tactics, speed, and finesse reminding everybody of Michael Schumacher’s stunts.” Even Kubica himself has been mentioning more frequently that he is aiming at the highest possible position in F1. “If after seven races you are the leader of the overall classification, and, apart from the Australian Grand Prix, the worst place is the fourth, you just need to seize the opportunity,” said Kubica. “Formula 1 has a new front runner,” announced German Stern after the victory of the Polish driver.
