A plane with the first group of Poles evacuated from Georgia landed today at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport early in the morning. After landing, most passengers said they were tired but glad. Among the 96 passengers there were Polish citizens living in Georgia, Georgians of Polish descent, tourists, and a group of Czechs. Jan Koryszko, one of the evacuated Poles, said: “What I saw there was war.” His daughter, Patrycja, who was waiting for him at the airport said she was very nervous while waiting at the arrivals hall. 86 people did not get this particular flight due to lack of seats on the plane and are waiting in Yerevan, Armenia, and will be transported to Poland later today.
