Polish tourists are towards the top of the list when it comes to being the worst tourists. Their most serious crime is that their English is poor. However, French, Spanish and Greek people are said to be worse travellers than the Poles. The research was conducted by the internet agency Expedia and is based on hotels workers’ opinions. For instance, French tourists are said to be inconvenient guests because they do not speak English, are arrogant and stingy. However, the authors of the poll outline the fact that if French people spoke English fluently their opinion about them would be rather positive. Why are Polish tourists not appreciated by other nations? Hotels workers say that Poles do not speak English well and are not open to new cultures. British, Canadian and Japanese tourists are at the top of the list as regards best tourists. According to those questioned they are well-mannered and are able to stay calm in stressful situations. Americans are also ranked high due to the fact that they leave high tips.
