According to the Polish government and the pro-government media (sadly “Rzeczpospolita” is now among them), supporting the Polish football team is “the right patriotism” but protesting against the supression of media freedom in Poland and against the Polish government’s reluctance to investigate the Smolensk plane crash of April 10, 2010 (when Polish President, Lech Kaczynski, opponent of Putin and the Polish PM Tusk, together with many members of the Polish elite died in strange circumstances in Russia) is “the wrong patriotism”. The true Polish patriots don’t accept the situation when only football stadiums are being built in Poland (their prices are much too high compared to the quality and nobody knows how to prevent them from bringing big losses after the European Championship), corruption is sky high, shipyards are closed, Polish brands are vanishing, and Poland under Tusk becomes a source of a cheap labour for the Western Europe.
