Lech Wałęsa arrived on Capitol Hill again. This time it was for the screening of the film “Wałęsa. Man of Hope”. The Polish Embassy in Washington DC, informed us that senator Barbara Mikulski, the Polish ambassador in the USA Ryszard Schnepf and also Robert Więckiewicz, the man who plays Wałęsa in the film will attend. There was a discussion session with Lech Wałęsa before the screening led by Christopher Dodd, the current head of Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). There will be two exclusive screenings of the film. One of which will take place on 8 December in the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan which Robert Więckiewicz will attend. “Wałęsa. Man of Hope” is this year’s Polish Oscar nominee. Both invitation-only screenings (in Washington and New York) were part of the promotion of the film for the Oscars.
