Kuroń’s Memory Suffers Again

It is the second time this year that someone has graffitied the memorial stone commemorating famous Polish Solidarity activist Jacek Kuroń. RDC radio announced that the stone had red paint poured all over it. The memorial stone is located in Stefan Żeromski Park in front of Kuroń’s former home on Mickiewicz Street, and was placed there in 2006. However, it has once again been damaged by unknown hooligans. In April this year, someone painted nationalist symbols on the memorial stone. Fascists painted the Celtic cross and the Falanga symbol on the stone. What is more, the same vandals damaged Jacek Kuroń’s memorial nameplate on Mickiewicz Street.
