Genuine Cooperation

A series of ventures between Poland and the United States of America, especially the state of Illinois, will take place in Chicago on 16-18 January this year. Many people will participate in the event: deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Beata Stelmach, the Polish ambassador to the US Ryszard Schnepf, Boeing’s deputy chairman for CEE Henryk Bochniarz and Polish business people and scientists. This Polish-American series of events will include: a business seminar of the MidAmerican Club in cooperation with World Business Chicago entitled “Chicago & Poland: opportunities for Investment”, an academic seminar in the Illinois Institute of Technology entitled “Knowledge Advantage: Opportunities for US-Polish Scientific Cooperation” and a statement by deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Beata Stelmach and the Polish ambassador to US Ryszard Schnepf entitled “Poland Upward’s Flight”. An exhibition at O’Hare Airport will take place, entitled “Frank Piasecki and other Polish Aeronautical Engineers” about the Poles who helped develop the American aeronautical industry. The business events in Chicago are a great opportunity for promoting Polish business in the state of Illinois and the whole US; it is also a great opportunity for strengthening economic and scientific ties between two of the the oldest sister cities, Warsaw and Chicago. All of these events coincide with the first flights of Poland’s Dreamliner between Warsaw and Chicago. So far, the mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel, the governor of the state of Illinois Pat Quinn, the treasurer of the state of Illinois Dan Rutherford, and representatives of Chicago O’Hare International Airport have confirmed their participation
