Polish people who are abroad during the elections to the European Parliament will be able to vote in 176 voting districts outside Poland. For the first time ever, there will also be a chance to vote by post. The elections to the EP will take place on 25 May. Polish people living abroad will choose candidates from the electoral district of Warsaw. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MSZ) will set up voting stations in diplomatic and consular offices and in places where there are large clusters of Polish people. 19 polling stations have been established in Great Britain, 11 in the USA, 8 in Germany and 7 in Spain. Due to the time difference, voting in some districts will be held on 24 May. In order to cast a vote in a polling station abroad, the appropriate consul has to be informed by 22 May. Wannabe voters must provide their first name, surname, father’s name, PESEL identification number, address of residence abroad, address of permanent residence, passport number and date and place where it was issued or identification card.
