Over 2.1 million Polish emigrants made approximately PLN 885 billion, of which a proportion of this money financed the Polish economy, according to Gazeta Wyborcza based on Euro-Tax data. National Bank of Poland (NBP) data shows that 50% of those who work abroad support their families by sending a large proportion of the money they earn back to Poland.
