One third of all Polish people do not dine outside their homes. However, if they decide to do so, Polish people spend an average of PLN 10 to PLN 25 on each meal. What is more, the average Polish person claims he/she is sick of Italian cuisine. Fewer than 18% of Polish people eat out in Italian restaurants, while one year ago, this figure stood at 27%, according to a Homo Homini Institute study for Makro Cash & Carry. In this year’s edition of the “Poland on a Plate” report, referenced by Gazeta Wyborcza, French and Spanish cuisine seem to be growing in popularity (12.7%), followed by kebabs (9.8%), hamburgers and hot dogs (3.3%) and Asian cuisine (1.7%). However, the all-time leader in the report was of course Polish cuisine (49.3%).
