Wings for Life World Run

Wings for Life

The Wings for Life World Run is an extraordinary run for several reasons. The most important fact is that approximately 50,000 people take part and pay the entry fee in order to fund research on spinal cord problems. The entry fee was considerable as it was PLN 120 in Poland. There was many participants and as many as 1,272 competitors took part in Poznań (the only WFL in Poland). Many were happy that the run began at noon because in Auckland, New Zealand participants had to compete in the middle of the night, with flash-lights on their heads. Also, the weather in Poznań was perfect for runners unlike Taiwan where it was about 26 degrees C or Delhi where the temperature was 40 degrees C.
