Polish Economy Growing Too Slowly

Slowing Down

Slowing Down

According to the Bureau for Investments and Economic Cycles (BIEC), the Polish economy is now beginning to flourish. The pre-emptive economic indicator, which informs economists about future trends, increased 1.6% in May compared to April. The indicator has been growing from the autumn of 2012. BIEC analysts emphasise the fact that entrepreneurs have indicated an increase in orders, and an improvement of the financial situation of companies managed by them. Despite a clear revitalisation in the Polish economy, and positive prospects for the future, the current pace of economic development is still below its potential rate, as well as below the pace that could guarantee Poland catching up with the most developed economies in Europe. BIEC experts also highlight the fact that there could be an improvement in Poland’s economic ratings in the near future.
