The supervisors of the construction of the second line of the Warsaw underground have decided that Warszawa Wileńska station is now ready to be used by passengers. It is the second station that has been given this status, the first was Rondo Daszyńskiego. However, there are still five more stations and six ventilating rooms to be tested. “It is possible that we will finish all tests by the end of February,” claims the provincial construction supervisor Jaromir Grabowski. In other words, all is in the hands of the construction supervisors: it is they who will decide when the grand opening of the second line will happen. As for now, all stations, ventilating rooms and underground tunnels have been tested by the fire service, sanitary authorities, and environmental protection delegates. Now the underground infrastructure is being tested by construction supervisors. They went underground last week and must check all documents and the surroundings of the Warsaw Metro.
