After Poland’s triumph over Russia in the Volleyball World League, Paweł Zatorski, libero of the world champions declared, “We couldn’t have expected to return to the cloakroom so quickly after the match, and now we should be prepared for the same again”. Paweł Zatorski admitted that the ‘Red-and-whites’ expected more from the Olympic champions. Poland, led by coach Stéphane Antiga, beat the Russian National Team for a third time. Zatorski claimed that they owed their triumph over Russia to the Frenchman’s tactics. Paweł Zatorski also revealed some of the team’s plans regarding the future as he expressed his will to play with 21-year-old Mateusz Bieniek, a current inside forward who plays for Effector Kielce. Also, Bartosz Kurek returned to the national team and played as a forward, which was a new position for him. Zatorski emphasised that even though the system was new for Bartosz, he did very well. Zatorski is convinced that the change in Kurek’s position is all for the good, and it will prove even better with time.
