“Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz announced that ten new economic bills will be passed by the end of term of office,” according to Professor Stanisław Gomułka, chief economist at the Business Centre Club (BCC), following a meeting between BCC members, the Prime Minister and Minister of Labour, Finance and Infrastructure. Professor Gomułka said that the meeting concerned the state of the Polish economy, the situation of entrepreneurs as well as future government plans. Professor Gomułka said that the Prime Minister announced a plan for passing ten new economic bills, although she did not want to give away what exactly they relate to. Professor Gomułka added, “We do not know anything specific about the bills, however, the Prime Minister did mention a few areas. There is an upcoming Civic Platform (PO) convention and the Prime Minister will present the suggested bills then.” According to Gomułka, the initiatives may concern include accepting two bills proposed by President Bronisław Komorowski, which aim at resolving doubts in favour of taxpayers and simplifications for Polish innovators. The BCC economist said that the Prime Minister expressed a wish to continue dialogue with business circles.
