Gal Gadot is in the news once again thanks to her new superhero role. This will no doubt cheer Polish fans because Gal Gadot has Polish roots. In fact, few people know that Gal Gadot’s grandma is Polish and lives in Warsaw. Her new superhero role will be in director Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”. Snyder revealed the first pictures of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman during Comic-Con in San Diego. The pictures caused controversy among fans: “Why is she so thin? Why is her costume not red, blue and gold?” Gal Gadot will take on the role of Wonder Woman, as previously portrayed by Cathy Lee Crosby, Lynda Carter and Adrianne Palicki, and will be one of the main superheros in the film. Many fans are surprised by the new costume and comments on the internet have ranged from: “Why is it brown?”, “Why does she look like Xena not Wonder Woman?” to “Is it only me, or does she really look like Kim Kardashian?” Fortunately for Snyder, there is also a large group of fans happy with her new costume, sword, lasso and shoes. The world premiere of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is planned for 6 May 2016 and by that time fans will have gotten used to the idea of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
